As a Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) property, Kirkwood Grove serves senior residents aged 55 years and older with a household income at or below 60% of the Area Median Income (AMI).

Kirkwood Grove Apartments is situated on over twenty acres, just minutes from U.S. Route 321 in Caldwell County, and is comprised of sixteen residential buildings, featuring one- and two-bedroom garden-style apartment homes and a centralized community building. The site features eight units designated for handicapped and mobility-impaired residents. Kirkwood Grove offers various amenities such as a laundry room, community room, computer center with high-speed internet access, game and craft room, outdoor screened porch, gazebo, and exterior seating areas. Each unit includes modern energy-star certified appliances, exterior tenant storage, private patios, and washer/dryer hookups. These vibrant brick and vinyl exterior apartment homes offer plentiful parking, security lighting, and ample sidewalks intended for use by individuals of all mobility levels.

The Partnership

Kirkwood Grove was developed in partnership with Weaver-Kirkland Development, LLC. It is the first of several affordable housing developments that are planned in North Carolina by this joint venture over the next couple of years.
